Type Locality and Naming

Named after the Kalachamazar Mountains, South Fergana. O.S. Vyalov, A.M. Gabrilian, 1947 (157, p.33-34). Stratotype not specified. Initially A.A. identified under the name Kanskaya suite (154; 166; 417; 433; 445).

Synonym: Kalachin Suite, Калачинская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Red, gray, coarse-grained conglomerates with lenses and interlayers of sandstones and gravels. Thickness 3-30m.

Overlies conformably on the Kyzylpilyal Fm
